Radial construction
A radial motorcycle tyre is constructed with layers of steel or synthetic cords arranged at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel (radial orientation). This design allows the sidewalls and tread to function independently, improving flexibility, heat dissipation, and ride comfort.
A belt, often made of steel or synthetic materials, is placed beneath the tread to enhance stability, reduce deformation, and provide better grip and durability. Radial tyres are lighter and offer superior handling and performance compared to bias-ply tyres, especially at high speeds. At King we use the very latest zero degree steel belt construction which offers the greatest performance benefits.
